Love Story
First Meet
In 2017 at Widya Mandala Catholic University Surabaya, orientation brought Philhip and Cornel together. From a boarding-house basecamp, love grew through patience and devotion. One year later, on October 30, 2018, Philhip’s birthday, in the campus parking lot, Cornel accepted his love, the most beautiful birthday gift.
Relationship
Until 2020, Philhip and Cornel’s love grew simply. The pandemic separated Surabaya and Samarinda. Their long-distance relationship survived through phone calls and video chats while working in their own cities. Longing was healed through alternating visits, proving their love endured until 2026.
Engagement
After six years of love, April 2024 marked true commitment. Philhip traveled to Samarinda with his family to propose to Cornel before her parents. A simple necklace sealed their promise, keeping their bond sacred until their wedding in May 2026.
